Moburst Wins Gold at the AVA Digital Awards for NewDay USA Website

We’re thrilled to announce that Moburst has been selected as a 2026 AVA Digital Award Gold Winner in the Web & App Design (Creativity) category for our work on the NewDay USA website.

The AVA Digital Awards is an international competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design, and production of digital communication. Sponsored and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), this year’s competition drew over 2,600 entries from across the United States, Canada, and 31 other countries. Entries are evaluated by industry professionals who look for work that exceeds a high standard of excellence and serves as a benchmark for the industry.

Earning Gold in a field this competitive is a testament to the thought, strategy, and craft that went into the NewDay USA project, as well as the strength of the partnership between our teams.

The Project: A Digital Transformation Built for Veterans

NewDay USA came to Moburst with a clear mission: create a modern digital experience that truly serves the veterans and military families who rely on them for some of the most important financial decisions of their lives.

For many veterans, particularly those over 60, who represent a major portion of NewDay’s customer base, the process of purchasing or refinancing a home can feel overwhelming. The existing digital experience wasn’t doing enough to simplify that journey. NewDay also needed to unify two separate platforms, NewDay Home and NewDay 100, into a single, cohesive experience that served both audiences while positioning the brand as a digital leader in veteran homeownership.

What Makes a Successful Brand?

What Made This Project Award-Worthy

Moburst served as the strategic digital transformation and development lead, owning the end-to-end rebuild from research and stakeholder alignment through to design, development, and launch. Several key pillars defined the approach:

Clarity and Simplicity Over Complexity. The site was designed around the principle that veterans aren’t just looking for a website; they’re seeking clarity amid a financial process that is often confusing. Large, legible typography, intuitive navigation, and a streamlined “easy as 1-2-3” homepage pathway ensure users can quickly find what they need without friction.

Trust at Every Touchpoint. Understanding that many veterans are understandably cautious online, Moburst incorporated clear trust signals throughout the experience: prominent contact information, highly visible “Call Now” buttons, and a strong emphasis on NewDay USA’s veteran-first brand identity.

Mobile-First Design. Recognizing that a large portion of veterans access the site on mobile devices, the team prioritized immediate access to assistance by strategically placing call buttons, minimizing the steps needed to reach a live representative.

Personalized User Journeys. A dynamic homepage adapts based on user intent. Veterans interested in purchasing a home see content and pathways tailored to that goal, while those exploring refinancing options are guided through a completely different experience. This predictive approach reduces unnecessary clicks and makes the platform feel intuitive and responsive.

Education as a Core Pillar. Moburst developed a comprehensive resource center that prioritizes guidance over sales. Approximately 20 new educational articles are added each month, covering topics across home buying, refinancing, and long-term financial planning. More than 80 articles were backfilled at launch to quickly establish a robust foundation of trusted content, reinforcing NewDay USA’s role as a knowledgeable partner rather than a transactional lender.

Built for the Future. Modern SEO and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) best practices were implemented to strengthen visibility not just across traditional search engines but also emerging AI-driven discovery platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude. A flexible, scalable site architecture ensures NewDay USA is positioned for long-term digital growth.

The Impact

The results spoke for themselves. Veterans were able to navigate the site more easily, access relevant information faster, and connect with NewDay USA’s team with fewer obstacles. The mobile-first experience and educational resources became key touchpoints that reinforced trust and confidence throughout the decision-making process. The redesign also strengthened overall brand alignment by elevating NewDay’s homepage with refreshed messaging, updated video assets, and an on-site look and feel that complements NewDay USA’s current TV campaign.

More Than a Website

This project was always about more than a visual refresh. It represented a fundamental rethinking of how digital experiences can better serve a community that deserves clarity, respect, and support. By removing friction, prioritizing education, and designing for trust, we delivered a platform that serves as a trusted digital resource for veterans navigating one of the most important financial decisions of their lives.

We’re proud that the AVA Digital Awards judges recognized the depth of strategy, design, and execution behind this work.
